Ingredients

4 7/8 Teaspoons Salt
1 7/8 Teaspoons Nutmeg
2 7/8 Eggs
3/4 Cups Shortening
1/4 Teaspoons Baking Soda
4 7/8 Cups Flour
1/2 Cups Sour Milk
2 7/8 Cups Sugar

Instructions

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and mix well. Sift flour, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. To the shortening mix add the dry ingredients alternating with milk. Mix thoroughly. Drop onto a well greased cookie sheet; bake at 430 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
