1 1/4 Cups Flour
1 1/4 Cups Oatmeal
1 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoons Baking Soda
4 Tablespoons Shortening
1 Pounds Pitted Dates
1 Cups Sugar

For the crust combine the five ingredients and press into a pie plate. Boil dates until tender, add one cup of sugar and boil until syrupy. Fill the pie crust and cook until done.
