1.5 Cups of Dried White Beans
1.0 of Smoked Ham Hock
3.0 of Cloves minced garlic
1.0 of Medium Onion Chopped
1.0 Teaspoons of Rosemary
3.0 of Carrots cut into pieces
4.0 Cups of Cabbage shredded
1.0 Teaspoons of Salt
0.75 Teaspoons of Pepper
Instructions
Rinse beans. Place in a large saucepan in cold water to cover. Soak 6 hours. Drain. In the same saucepan combine beans, ham hock, garlic, onion, rosemary and 8 cups water. Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat and simmer 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 hour.
