Instructions
Boil onion in water in a covered 1 quart saucepan until tender; do not drain. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce, garlic powder, pepper, and oregano. Simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors. Place chicken in a large skillet. Pour tomato mixture over the chicken. Cook, covered, over low heat until chicken is tender, about 45 minutes. Uncover and cook 15 minutes longer to thicken sauce.
