1.0 Dash of Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
In a sauce pan heat the olive oil, over medium high heat, and add the dry white rice to the pan. Stir the rice so that it is well coated with oil. Add the chopped bell pepper and onion. Sauté until the rice browns and the pepper and onion are soft. Add the chicken broth, tomato sauce, hot sauce and red pepper flakes. Stir well and cover the rice with a lid. Reduce the heat to low and let steam until all liquid is gone and the rice looks dry. This takes about 30-40 minutes.
